What to Expect
Our team is here to support you and your pet in any situation, but if euthanasia is on the table, know that we’ll do all we can to make the experience as stress-free as possible.
Pet euthanasia is a procedure in which medication is administered to your pet to put them to sleep. But before we do that, we first provide sedation to help them relax. This means your pet will be calm, comfortable, and unconscious before we administer the euthanasia injection.
While urgent care is our focus here at Animal Urgent Center, euthanasia appointments are different. We will give you the privacy and time you need to say goodbye to your pet before we proceed with sedation and euthanasia. We will also answer your questions and help you make cremation arrangements as well, so your pet is properly cared for following the appointment.
If you and your pet are meeting our vet team for the first time, rest assured that we'll treat you both with the compassion and respect you deserve. We can discuss quality of life indicators and possible treatment options and help you make the right decision for your pet.
