Sick Pet Visits in Ann Arbor, MI
Do you have a sick pet? Or are they just not acting right, and you aren't sure why? Get in touch with Animal Urgent Center in Ann Arbor, MI during our opening hours to see a vet as soon as possible. Your urgent vet will start your visit with a medical exam to evaluate your pet’s situation, discuss their health and medical history, and do a full physical checkup. If necessary, we will contact your regular veterinarian to request medical records. This way, we will be aware of any medications your pet is currently taking and have a better understanding of their overall condition.
What Do We Check During a Medical Exam?
Medical exams are typically more focused than wellness exams. We need to assess an obvious outward problem, such as a wound or ear infection, or take steps to detect and identify an underlying issue that is causing an odd behavior, illness, or injury.
During your pet’s medical exam, you can expect:
- A thorough physical examination where we check your pet from nose to tail for abnormalities including wounds, bruises, inflammation, infection, lumps/bumps, and hair loss.
- Diagnostic workups if needed, to check a blood, stool, urine, or skin sample and make a definitive diagnosis for your pet.
- Digital radiography (X-ray) and/or ultrasound may also be required if we still need answers about your pet’s condition and believe our imaging equipment can provide the necessary information.
Animal Urgent Center is dedicated to treating your pet like the cherished family member they are. If you ever need to see us, know that we’ll do everything possible to put you at ease and help your pet feel healthy and happy again.
